What does rigorous imprisonment means? What are the other types of imprisonment? (in Indian context)?

Various Types of imprisonments in Indian context are :- Simple Imprisonment :

Labouring is not compulsory on sentence

Rigorous Imprisonment :

Labouring is compulsory on sentence.

Life Imprisonment :

Rigorous Imprisonment to his life time.

That is the only context I could find. From my understanding it effects the terms of the length of the sentencing.
I'm guessing but I strongly believe it means " maximum
security"or perhaps even "solitary confinement" as apposed
to "General confinement " Less rigorous conditions.
