If my uncle was killed by an under aged drunk driver?

and the people who sold/gave the kid the alcohol are being sued, would I be one of the recipients, seeing as I was as close,if not closer to him as his own kids were. or would I not count seeing as I wasn't one of his children.

This is really confusing me

Answers:
I'm sorry for your loss, but legally you would not be a recipient of any legal award since he apparently has children and they would naturally receive it.

Sorry I think you are going to have to get a job
you are not part of the hereditary tree of your uncle so your claim is not sustainable. but if you were close and your uncle made you one of the beneficiaries in his will there may be some ground for a claim else you should only grieve over the unfortunate accident.
You are not next of kin.
