In the state of Texas if you marry a man with children that is paying child support can you be held liable?

If so...how?

Answers:
No. If the husband's tax refund is withheld because of back child support, you can file an "Injured Spouse" form so you get the taxes you overpayed for.

many times if you have a legal question, or you need a clarification on what the law says about your situation, you don't necessarily have to get an attorney.
just call your state Senator and ask his/her aides to research your question. government has departments of lawyers to provide that kind of service to its constituency, not everyone knows about it though...and it's free!
You need to ask the lawyer representing you and your husband, but I think that while you are living together the court setting the child support for your husband to pay is going to look at your joint household income to decide how much he can afford to pay for his children.
