How can I report someone stealing from their work without them knowing??
This person has been stealing from an employer who is good to him. I feel sick knowing about it and not doing anything, but I am too scared of what he might do.He is thankfully out of our life, but he needs to be stopped. He does this all the time and gets away with everything.I do NOT want him to know I did this-
Real answers please-this is not about vengence-just about not sleeping. Thanks for any help.

I take it this guy has charmed his way into a position of trust within the company & can now steal them blind without ever being questioned. I saw this same scenario myself so I know how it feels.
You just want to do the right thing & let someone know. They truly may not believe you even if you have "proof"- dates, activities, etc. In my case, the CEO and the manager were in it together so I couldn't go to the top- EVERYONE was profiting on the scam.
If you feel this guy works alone in it, then by all means tell someone up the ladder in the company. Type it on your computer (no handwriting!) & mail it from another town. Be specific as to what you saw & what's missing. A brief internal audit should verify your disclosure.
Anyway, glad to know there is at least ONE other person out there who cares to do what's right. Hope this helps.
If it really bugs you, send an anonymous letter to the head of the company's HR department.
Then get some sleep.
you are totally right. i say pull ur boss aside and tell him. he should respect ur privacy. or call anonomusly to the office. tell them to check the cameras or something. peple that do things like that need to be stopped b4 the problem gets bigger and worse. brng it to authorities attention str8 away and good luck
This happened to me. I had proof. I went to the president of the company and left it in his hands.
I would advise going to your immidiate supervisor or his or her supervisor. Let them know what you know and have witnessed. Be sure to advise them it is in the strictest confidance. I gather it is not your company so it is in their hands.
If nothing is done, you will have to use your moral judgement as to if this is the kind of place you wish to continue to work for.
I have asked myself that question a few times since I reported the employee.
