Alcohol - Marijuana?
Why is alcohol leagal and it cause so much disaster. From Car accidents to abuse. It harms many!
Yet is marijuana illeagal and is practically harmless to other people/ world?
Answer:
Alcohol is not illegal because they send people called lobbyists to meet with the senators of congress . What lobbyists do is "persuade" congressmen to vote against laws that make alcohol illegal or punishable for drunk driving and by persuade I mean that these lobbyist pay off congressmen to vote against bills that directly hurt the alcohol business. Marijuana is illegal simply because it has never been legal, therefore their has never been marijuana lobbyists to "persuade" congressmen to keep it legal.
Because some people think that pot is a gateway drug that leads to harder drugs. I don't think they have taken into consideration that most kids experiment with alcohol before they even start trying pot.
if marijuana has be scinetificllay porven to not have the same effects as alcohol in all the things it can cause ( dependencies, drunkeness, rage, ect) then i really dont care i dont smoke it. Alcohol has been around longer then marijuana ( at least people knew more about alcochol before drugs) at one point in time in the USA i beleive durring the middle ages it was illegal to drink. i dont think anybody really knows what marijuana can do to you. we know reports that heroin and meth can do some serious damamge to your brain cause you to do a whole bunch of foolish stuff but no complete reports on marijuana becuase it's assumed that smoking it carries the same risk and that's probably why it isn't legal. and probably becuase there have been no test to prove the effects of marijuana use.
Yet marijuana is practically harmless..... I know a fifteen year old girl that was killed in a car crash caused by a guy that was high on pot. I helped pull her out of her mother's mini-van. All drugs (including alcohol and marijuana) have their problems. Marijuana is illegal because the Government made it illegal. Equating marijuana with bottled water is not a valid argument. Alcohol is also illegal to some extent and strictly regulated.
The Middle Ages was a time period spanning the 6th Century thru the 14th Century. The USA wasn't even a thought at that time in history.
um, the middle ages?? hasnt anyone heard of the 18th amendment?? alcohol was illegal, it was called prohibition. doesnt anyone know anything about our own history?? Get off your drugs and look it up.
