About to get married in registery office in brazil, but need document proving i've not been married.?

I'm a bristish citizen and will marry my brazilian partner at a register office in brazil. I've been told i need a new birth certificate, also i need a document to prove that i've never been married. What is this document? who do i contact and can i do it online? any advice appreciated.

How can you prove a negative? Suggest you contact the Brazilian Embassy and ask them what would be acceptable.


look on your passport it should say that you are single.
