I recieved a letter from DWP saturday... its starts.Invitation to an office interview. We need to discuss?

a query that has arisen concerning your benefit laim. it is essential that you attend this interview. if you do not it may affect your benefit. Has anybody else had this happen? and what is it about.. thankyou xx

Answers:
Sounds like they either have info that you are claiming wrongly, or it is just a routine interview to check that you are still entitled to benefit and haven't had any changes. They like to mess with people's head's a bit sometimes to scare them into telling all!! You will be fine if you have nothing to worry about.

if you have been claiming wrongly someone has reported you, if you havent don't worry its nothting to worry about.
It's no big deal, just bring all of your personal info with you, they do these checks on a regular basis, it's their way of instilling in you that they are in control of you. Let them do their little dance, be honest and open with them and bring all of the documents required and you will be fine. Trust me, I know from personal experience. Your name probably came up in their "OK we have to screw with somebody to make it look like we're working, poll" lol!

is it from the customer compliance team? if it is, i had one of those and it turned out that someone had grassed us up(our neighbour that we had been complaining about) that my partner was living with me(he wasnt)
Exactly what it says in the letter, if you refuse to attend they can stop your benefit, try giving them a call to get a clearer picture.
Just routine,to see what jobs you bin looking for and
seeing what jobs you will take, more than likely
they have a job interview they want you to look at.
Took my grand son down to same interview and they did
what i have already mentioned above.
If you're clean no problem, if not get your story straight and stick to it, then get clean and stop claiming benefit you are not entitled to.
It seems that a query has come up as you have stopped access could it be that he has made an allegation seems strange this has happened all at the same time..You will find out when you get there!
I work for an agency connected with the DWP and I am sure that it is nothing to worry about. It also depends what sort of benefits you are on as to what they need to see you for. IE DLA - they need to review your health. Incap - they need to make sure you havent changed circumstances and are still entitled. etc. It is strictly routine and there is no set pattern to say who will be called up when but just be honest and nothing should change :)
I worked for this team approx 5yrs ago in my home town, most interviews are just to check the benefit your receiving is being paid at the correct rate, believe it or not some people are being under paid & its only when they have this interview that it comes to light.

Don't worry about it everyone claiming benefit has a review done & if they have received an allegation of fraud you'll be able to discuss it with them. As a previous answer stated alot are from neighbours who for some reason or other decide their gonna make stuff up about you today, tomorrow it'll be some-one-else
Don't worry they do this all the time

They have to justify doing something
