Am i obligated to pay my daycare worker paid holidays after we have quit her services?
she has 3 paid weeks/year but she will be history for 3 weeks before her scheduled holidays begin
Answer:
If they are earned, she gets them. If she has not hit her anniversary yet, they should be pro-rated. Schedualling the time off and earning are two separate things.
then probably not!
i wouldn't think so :)
if she is nice
and you have gotten along
with her you would be considered
a prick if you didn't
pay up
Depends on if your signed a contract and what it says.
Is she quitting or did you fire her? If she is quitting, no, you shouldn't have to pay her holiday time, unless you both have a signed agreement stating that. If you fired her, you probably owe her the time.
What does it say in your contract?
No. Only for holidays while she is in your service.
You should give her a percentage corresponding to what she worked-
She worked half of the year, she gets half of the benefit.
