Say... i have 2 yrs on the job, at which i need to talk. And i have to have my voice box removed.

Answers:
Under the Americans With Disabilities Act you can request that your employer take steps to accommodate your disability with changes to your job or changing to another available job that you can do. If you work for an employee friendly company , they will try to find another position for you if it is a position that is currently available. They don't have to give you a made up job just for you If they have current jobs you can do, they should offer one of them to you. The ADA is not a law that guaranties of a job, . If you go to HR they will usually get started in finding you another position. If not a lawyer can change employers minds. The ADA has made it easier for someone with a disability to continue working if they have jobs you can do. I'm physically disabled and they found another position because I could do something else.

if you received the injury on the job, then you would need to review the workers compensation laws of your state. If you were not injured at work, then I am sorry but you can be let go.

If the injury or illness is work related, speak with an attorney.
