How do i locate inmates in a minnesota federal prison?

Answers:
Here is the Minnesota Department of Corrections website:
http://www.doc.state.mn.us/

Go to "search offender records" and then offender locator.

[edit] hensleyclaw - Minnesota does house federal inmates in their state prisons. If the person is indeed somewhere in Minnesota, the site I've listed would tell where they are.

Go on line to the state web page. There should be a link to either the department of corrections or an inmate search button. In IL, all you need is the name of the inmate.

Commit a felony in Minnesota.
Commit a federal felony in Minnesota and then just ask around the prison yard.
if he is in a federal prison, the state web sites won't help you. Probably need to look on the dept of justice web site for links to federal correctional facilities
They won't tell you where a federal prisoner is, until they are released.

Safety reasons. A lot of those guys are "snitches" and have contracts out on them. It doesn't matter if they are a heavy weight convicted felon, or a light weight one, that just got caught drunk on a Indian reservation.

The only way to find out is if some relative slips up. or a friend of a friend.
or the media......but by the time the media finds out. They move them!
go to www.docs.minnesotafederalprios...
try it
If the inmate is locked up in a prison in Minnesota it depends on if it is a state or federal prison. You can find local and the state inmate locator websites here http://www.theinmatelocator.com/minnesot... However, if he is locked up in a federal prison in Minnesota then you should look here http://www.myinmatelocator.com/federal/f... There are a lot of different federal prisons. There are 5 federal prison facilitie in the state of Minnesota...they are named Duluth, Minneapolis, Rochester, Sandstone and Waseca. Go here to find the contact information for them http://www.myinmatelocator.com/federal/f...
