How long was murderer Martin Bryant sentenced to jail for?

How many years (accumulatively) has he been sentenced in jail for. I'm aware it is 35 counts of life in prison, but isn't the number somewhere in the 1000 mark?

There is a law in Australia that criminals who commit very abusive and sadistic crimes (like the Anita Coby murderers) can be sentenced "Never to be Released" This is the sentence that was given to Martin Bryant.

Lets just say he will never be released.
