Whats the differance between a penalty charge notice and a parking charge notice?

Answers:
Referring to the previous answer, they both do require your money to resolve the problem, however. They are both the same thing its just that you have described them stipulated them in different terminologies.

A penalty charge notice is a generalised term for any contravention regarding parking tickets, bus lane tickets etc. These may also be contested against only in writing within a certain time period. Usually 14 days.

A parking charge notice however only gives reference to parking contraventions rather than bus lane breaches or any other trafficking offence.

I thought they were the same thing, but you have me wondering now, either way it still means one thing "they want your money"
