You think a background check was done on Martha Stewart being a felon and returning Back to TV would matter?
x cons have hard times finding jobs being felons but,she just walked right back in .background checks should be for certian crimes this would make it possisable for more cons to work instead of being forced to return to a life of crime.and before all the negative people start crying by doing this what harm is being done .just think of all the people who have jobs that have done things but got away with them that would be considered felons if they were cought. and if anything is miss spelled keep your crying to yourself.
Answer:
duh why would they do a background check she owns the t.v. studio
thats what big bucks will do for you
If I'm not mistaken Martha owns her own show. Just like Maury , Oprah and other celebs.
When they own their own show , its not a big deal for them, they do what they want, because they are the Boss.
What's the question? Are you trying to make a point about something? You lost me.
An ex con has a right to re-enter society and become employed. It's a shame when the ex con is denied a job because a person does not believe they have rehabbed themselves. Martha is another story; one of wealth, fame and privilege. She will not have a blemish to deal with.
I'm with Woodman. You lost me too.
Hey Woodman if you figure out how to get out of here please take me with you.
No -Why would anyone want to do a background check on their boss? Besides, she is a popular x-con, her name sells, and she is a billionare!
I disagree... Background checks should be done for all crimes. The last thing any employer needs is an employee who is bad for business. As for a criminal returning to a life of crime because employers wont hire them? Well, they never belonged in society to begin with. If one cannot adjust to society and one reverts back to their old ways... welll, they belong in jail!
the idea that an ex-con can't get a job is a myth. i have several hundred (with more added every week) parolees that are listed with my office....every single one of them that wants to work has a job that pays well. saying they can't get a job because of their criminal history is just an excuse they use when they are basically lazy people or think they deserve some kind of special treatment. there are many industries that hire even if you have felony convictions (including a murder conviction). not only that, but the federal government gives tax breaks to companies that hire convicted felons to encourage businesses to hire them.
