yes they have to tell you that they are taping a interview and when then interview is finished you have to see them seal it and a copy should be made available for your solicitor to have. For some reason they wont give you a copy directly

In my jurisdiction if one party knows they are being recorded (i.e. filmed) then it is legal. So I can video tape you without telling you. I do it all the time (usually on traffic stops).
