Well it aint gonna happen unless you live in a state like Oregon or some other state that requires employers show their employee records to employees. Most employers simply do not have to and won't as it opens them up to potential lawsuits.
Now if you do not want to be investigated you will be told that you must be hiding something or else you would be more cooperative.
