We need a law that can be enforced "'No cell phones on public trandport'?
Enough is enough cell phone free carrages and busses needed urgently

I take transit in the morning as to have a safe and comfortable place where I can get a start on my business day without being a hazard on the road.
You may be annoyed by people having discussions on transit, however they are infinitely better, and safer than being a distracted driver on the road.
Some people certainly do need to learn some cellular etiquette, however there are plenty of people out there capable of having a quiet and polite discussion on a cellular, in public space.
We should work on strengthening our school system first, more specifically teaching English skills like spelling to people..
"Pass a law!" is such a knee-jerk reaction to anything people don't like. Our lawmakers have enough to do already just keeping people alive, fed, and employed.
It was those cell phones on the planes on 911 that made the passengers try to retake the plane. A plane that was trying to make it to a populated area to kill even more innocent people. I think manners and phone etiquette would be the order of the day. No ban.

I disagree.
There should be a required test to use a cell phone, which includes etiquette as a subject.
I can have a pretty good and QUIET cell phone conversation (and am sometimes required to, for work) while in the bus or train.
But, some people shout so loud in their phones, i wonder why they use a phone. Even Mohammed in Egypt can hear that one clearly.
So, regulate the people, not the devices, is my idea.
