HELP! I wanna sue a person who owes my dad 30K but i can't find him to server the claim.He's hiding from us =(
I only have his cellphone #. I know his previous address, but the address is fake. The house is empty and is currently on sale. What can I do to dig him out and serve the claim? I have tried to apply to the registrar to ask small claim court to post a notice on his door, but it has been rejected because the house is empty. And I have asked a company which's specialized in finding people to find him out for me. But still, failed. What can I do now? The money is a lot for my family. I’m really sad now. I’m appreciated if anyone can point some directions out. Thank you everyone.

Small claims goes only up to a few thousand in claims, so it would not take a 30k case.
The actual name of this fellow might be questionable, but if it is who he claims, he probably knows how to hide from people.
If his taking money from you is a crime, the report it to the police, also if he took your money as part of a business, report it to the better business bureau.
In some cases like paternity, the legal action is filed with the court, and because he cannot be found it is posted in the newspaper for him to attend. If he does not attend, the court acts on the evidence presented. You might need a lawyer, but that could be more money down the tubes. You could contact a detective agency, usually they can access data you can't to find someone.
contact the person who is selling the house, or hire a private investigator to look for him :). just know if you loose the court case it will be harder for you...
give the police his number let them trace his calls for questioning. Hire private investigator to trace his acivity from his account and etc
try to find out where his closest relatives live. try to get the police to gps track his cell phone( most cell phone have a gps tracker in them).
