Is it legal to use robot accounts on ebay to raise the price on your auction?

I was bidding on something on ebay when someone started bidding too so I decided to stop bidding for then and when I came back a few days later the price was 600% of what it originally was and I checked the bidding history and it said that the same person kept raising the price after I had left and this seemed lick they were aan account used by the seller of the product.Is this legal for them to do that?

It is not legal to do that at all and against ebay policy. I really hate when they do that too!!

Contact E-bay and tell them your concerns. They try to keep everything on an even playing surface.
