Driving Point system?

I have a question-it may be stupid but W/E. my fiance has collected a number of speeding and moving violation tickets in FL. He took one driving course which you can only take once a year. He was @ 11pts after the course he took on march, and I know if you get 12pts within a 12month period then your licenses is suspened for thirty days. Well he got a another ticket on 7/4/07. His first offense was 7/4/06. I am pretty sure his license is suspened but i do not because of the dates. Anyone know?

Answer:
Most states tabulate driving points on a rolling calender year, your example of 7/4/06 to 7/4/07 would be consider a 12 month period. A varying fact would be the time the original citation on 7/4/06 occurred, and what time the 2nd citation occurred on 7/4/07. You should be able to connect the BMV to verify if the citation on 7/4/06 has been removed.
I hope this helps.
