Is a marriage in Mexico recognized as a legal marriage in the USA?
Answer: Yes, By Treaty...
Marriage validly contracted in other countries just like Mexico is also valid in USA.
Of course, otherwise all of those illegal aliens would have to get remarried after they came here.
A marriage that is entered into in one country is recognized by all other countries, unless that specific form of marriage is not recognized in the other country. For example, should someone enter into a polygamous marriage in India (where it is legal) and relocate to the United States of America (where polygamy is illegal), it would not be recognized and the participants could possibly even be prosecuted.
of course - as long as it is a legal marriage.
Can't see why not. The U.S. is not the only country that has married people in it. The only difference I see is your license will be written in Spanish.
