Is it illegal to be illegal?

Answers:
If the prosecutors could have their way it would. Double jeopardy there.

To be illegal and doing an illegal deed is truly a contradictory thing. So I guess by English language law, it would make it legal.

if libs have their way, there will be no such as illegal except making money
No, there are no extra laws against already being illegal- that would be double jeopardy. You're only guilty of the original crime.
It is not a criminal offense to be in the US illegally. Unless the person has committed another crime all that will happen is that they will be deported to their country of origin.
Only if our government decides to enforce the law that has been broken.
A lot of people break laws everyday. And while doing it they understand whether or not that law is being enforced.
If the law is being strictly enforced less people will break it!
Yes, entering in the united states other than at an official point of entry and remaining there without authorization from the Secretary of State is against the law. Also, being an alien and working in the United States without authorization from the Secretary of State (i.e. green card) is also against U.S. immigration law.

I believe, though am not sure, that merely entering without permission is a misdemeanor, and working after illegal entry is also a misdemeanor for first offense. However, if you return after deportation or falsify documents, that is a federal felony that brings with it prison time as well as deportation.
Uhh...yea
