Would you get compensation for...?

my friend went clubbing, tried asking a taxi driver could he order her a taxi, and he smiled said yes, the two people getting in the taxi... one had crutches and smacked her in her arm and she got a huge bruise. and the girl punched her in the mouth and split her lip

she dont know who they are but went to the police, and she is saying she is gonna get compo

is this true? if it is how much? if its a lot any one out there wanna split my lip, I will share with you lol

Answers:
I cant see it, I have know some one to get stabbed 6 times and get £2000, so for her having a split lip when she was clubbing they will think she was probaly a bit gobby as this sort of thing happens when your clubbing all the time

but hey, let me know if she gets a lot I wll help you lol

Highly unlikely that she will get any COMPO as you put it.

Criminal Injuries Compensation Board (as it used to be known) probably won't even read her appeal - not serious enough.

She'd be lucky to get £1.00
everybody is right no pain no gain
Agreed - Criminal Injuries Compensation Board is the place, but my brother ended up with a steel plate keeping his skull together and blindness in one eye for 6 months after a mugging, and never saw a penny .
Haha... NO!! She could get them done for ABH..But the amount it'd cost to go through the courts..it'd be a waste if time.

I fell over and tore my knee open on a broken bridge surface, had 4 ops..that took me three years to get compensation.and it was blatently the fault of the place who owned the bridge...(long dull story)

The girls will just say she hit them surely?? Besides, they dont really sound like the type to have a lot of money floating around!!
Both persons entering the taxi are guilty of assault causing actual bodily harm. Now she has a problem. She doesn't know who they are. From whom does she think she is going to get compensation? Unless the police actually investigate this and catch the people there are no defendants for a civil action. Apart from anything else, the time and money involved, to take such a civil action, would not be covered by the award for a split lip and a bruised arm.
