What basic rights do people have?

What rights are guaranteed by the government?(freedom of speech, right to private property etc.)

Answers:
Go read the bill of rights as a starting point.

Fundamental rights are in our constitution, but actually these have not been provided to the people, specially the down trodden people.
Zip, nada, zilch, zero. They've all been recalled. They don't exist anymore. New rules: If you've got the gold, you make the rules. So the corporations have all the "rights" because now the courts treat corporations as people. It's called "corporate personhood", and John Roberts comes straight from the corporate world to lead the charge to increase corporate rights and eliminate traditional rights for people. Hang on to you A $ $ and your money, it's gonna get worse before it collapses entirely.
